  • Store preferences and visit history
  • Loyalty points and redemption history

  • App usage patterns and interactions
  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed)
  • Location data (if you enable location services)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our loyalty program services
  • Process point transactions and redemptions
  • Send you notifications about your account and rewards
  • Improve our app and services
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Prevent fraud and ensure security

3. Marketing Communications & Your Consent

We respect your communication preferences and comply with applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Spam Act 2003.

Types of Communications:

Transactional Communications (No Consent Required):

These are essential messages required to provide our service. You cannot opt out of these:

  • Account creation and verification emails
  • Password reset and security notifications
  • Points earned and reward redemption confirmations
  • Transaction receipts and account statements
  • Important service updates and policy changes
  • Fraud alerts and security notifications

Marketing Communications (Requires Your Consent):

These require your explicit consent, which you can provide during registration or in your profile settings:

  • Promotional offers and special deals
  • New rewards and product announcements
  • Personalized recommendations
  • Seasonal campaigns and exclusive offers
  • Partner promotions and sponsored content
  • Surveys and feedback requests (non-essential)

Your Control Over Marketing:

  • Opt-In: During registration, you can choose to receive marketing communications
  • Change Anytime: Update your preferences in Profile → Marketing Preferences
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe links are included in every marketing email
  • Granular Control: Choose which types of marketing you want to receive

Push Notifications:

Push notifications require both:

  • Browser/device permission (granted through your device settings)
  • Marketing consent (for promotional notifications)

You can manage push notification preferences in your device settings or within the app. Transactional notifications (like reward confirmations) will still be sent unless you disable notifications entirely at the device level.

Consent Records:

We maintain records of your consent preferences, including:

  • Date and time consent was given or withdrawn
  • Method of consent (registration, profile update, etc.)
  • What you consented to

Default Channel Settings:

When you provide marketing consent during registration or when joining a new store, the following default settings apply:

Automatically Enabled:

  • ✅ Email Notifications: Promotional offers, rewards updates, personalized recommendations, and seasonal campaigns
  • ✅ Push Notifications: Real-time deals, points earned, expiring rewards alerts, and exclusive offers

Disabled by Default:

  • ❌ SMS Notifications: You must explicitly enable SMS in your Marketing Preferences. Standard SMS and data rates may apply. All SMS messages include opt-out instructions (Reply STOP)

Full Control:

You can modify these settings at any time through:

  • Profile Settings → Marketing Preferences
  • Unsubscribe links in marketing emails
  • Device notification settings (for push notifications)
  • Replying STOP to SMS messages (if enabled)
  • Contacting support@fidiperks.com

Per-Store Marketing Preferences:

Your marketing preferences are managed separately for each store you join in the FidiPerks network. This means:

  • Individual Store Control: When you join Store A with marketing consent, Email and Push are enabled for Store A
  • Independent Settings: When you later join Store B, you can choose different marketing preferences for Store B
  • Selective Opt-Out: You can opt-out of marketing from Store A while still receiving marketing from Store B
  • No Impact on Rewards: Your points, rewards, and transactional notifications are never affected by marketing preferences

FidiPerks Platform Communications:

As a FidiPerks member, you may receive two types of marketing communications:

1. Store-Specific Marketing (Managed Per-Store):

  • From: Individual stores where you're a loyalty member
  • Content: Promotions, offers, and updates from that specific store
  • Control: Managed separately for each store in Marketing Preferences

2. FidiPerks Platform Marketing (Optional):

  • From: FidiPerks as a platform
  • Content: Multi-store benefits, platform features, new merchant discovery
  • Examples: New stores near you, platform updates, multi-store promotions
  • Control: Separate opt-in/opt-out in your Marketing Preferences

Important: Platform marketing is independent of individual store preferences. You can opt-out of platform marketing while keeping store-specific marketing, or vice versa.

SMS-Specific Compliance:

If you choose to enable SMS notifications:

  • Explicit Opt-In Required: SMS is always opt-in and never enabled by default
  • Frequency: Typically 2-4 messages per month per store (may vary during promotions)
  • Costs: Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier
  • Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any SMS message, or disable in Marketing Preferences
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact support@fidiperks.com

4. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Store Partners: We share your loyalty data with participating stores to process rewards and track visits
  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our app
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred
  • Marketing Partners: Only if you've provided consent, we may share information with trusted marketing partners to send you relevant offers

Important: We will never sell your personal information to third parties for their independent use.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and basic functionality
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how you use our app to improve services
